Obidient Movement Convenes Symposium in Anambra, Advocates Unity and Good Governance

The Obidient Movement, a socio-political organization dedicated to promoting good governance and accountability, yesterday in Onitsha Anambra state convened a symposium, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss Nigeria's future.  The event underscored the movement's commitment to unity, justice, and equity. Dr. Yunusa Tanko, National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, while interacting the newsmen yesterday in Onitsha emphasized the possibility of a new Nigeria, citing inspirational leaders like Awolowo, Azikiwe, and Tafawa Balewa. He said that time has come for Nigerians to further advocate for good Governance at all levels,and maintained that the Obident movement will not rest on its oars to ensure that the national assembly did the needful, by ensuring that the major political stakeholders our things right before the 2027 general election.  He urged the South East to continue supporting the movement, stressing that "charity begins at home

IHEKWEME DEMANDS N500M FROM UZODIMMA TO STOP ATTACKS ....IMO GOVT

Imo State Government has revealed that one of its critics has begun moves to reach Gov Hope Uzodimma with a view to striking a deal to stop the verbal attacks on the administration.  According to the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Declan Emelumba,  the critic, Dr Fabian Ihekweme has made contacts with friends of the Governor, offering to " cease fire" If he is offered the whopping sum of Five Hundred million Naira( N500m). Christmas comes Early for 150 Poor Anambra Widows as Commissioner gifts them Bags of Rice

Kenechukwu Ofomah Awka One hundred and fifty widows in Anambra State were on Thursday, handed cash and bags of rice as early Christmas largesse by the State Commissioner for Special Duties, Rt Hon Beverly Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche. Group moves to empower Anambra Communities, CSOs to demand Accountability from Govt with Townhall Meeting

Kenechukwu Ofomah Awka A townhall meeting targeted at deepening and institutionalizing accountability, and social inclusion systems, on Wednesday held in Awka, Anambra State Capital, with a call on communities and Civil Society Stakeholders to intensify efforts at tracking constituency projects in their localities. The event was put together by the Connected Development (CODE) with support from MacArthur Foundation, under the ProjectTrust initiative, which aims to mobilize CSOs and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) through the formation of a Community of Practice (CoP), to enhance social accountability processes and advocate for transparency. NANS Urges Southeast Governors to Overhaul Campus Transportation Scheme

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has called on Southeast governors to revamp the transportation system across campuses in the region.
