Anambra Power Project not abandoned, Ohaneze Youths clarify on Fed Lawmaker’s motion for Probe of project

The youth wing of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Anambra State Chapter has clarified that the Agu Awka Umuchu 132KV DC Transmission  Line and 2 x 60MVA Substation at Ibughubu Umuchu, with 2 x 132KV Line Bay Extension at Agu Awka, is not an abandoned project.  The clarification came following a motion moved on the floor of the House of Representatives on Tuesday by the Member representing Aguata Federal Constituency, Hon. National Assembly Will Tinker With Existing Legislations To Guarantee Full LG Autonomy- Akpabio

The successful conduct of local government elections in Anambra State, more a decade after the exercise was last conducted, depicts the capacity by the Chukwuma Soludo administration, to keep promises made to the people. Police Launch Manhunt for Armed Men Who Killed Two Officers

A tragic incident which unfolded in Uruagu, Nnewi North, on October 3, 2024 has put the Anambra police on high alert as they have started a manhunt against the criminals. It was gathered from the Police Public Relations Officer SP Ikenga Tochukwu that armed men attacked and killed two police operatives who were on investigation duties. The assailants he said opened fire on the officers and threw an improvised explosive device at their vehicle, which caught fire.  The Anambra State Police Command has swiftly responded by launching a joint security operation to track down the perpetrators.
