There was electoral fraud in Nnewi North -Voters

YPP, LP, PDP candidates in Nnewi North Local Government Area openly declared that the local government election on Saturday was an electoral fraud following what majority of the electorate dismissed as monumental disenfranchisement. The candidates called for immediate cancellation of the exercise for a proper election to be conducted. The electorate decried that Nnewi community was disappointed over the conduct of the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC) in discharging its duties as voters who turned out enmass to vote were denied the right to exercise their franchise. Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, has praised Ndi Anambra for the peaceful conduct of the local government elections on September 28, 2024. Anambra L.G Election: Hon.Udemezue averts Lynching of EO in Ayamelum

In what would have resulted as election violence during today's Anambra State local council election held on September 28, 2024, was averted by Hon Udemezue house member Anambra state house of assembly. The Anambra State Government has announced a movement restriction across the state on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Anambra Police, Again Achieve Major Breakthroughs in Fight Against Crime

The Anambra Police have once more made significant strides in their ongoing efforts to combat crime and criminality in the state. Recently, they successfully intercepted a suspect carrying three bags of garri (cassava flakes) concealing a large quantity of gunpowder, intended for production of improvised explosives. The suspect, whose name has not been disclosed, was en route to a criminal camp when he was apprehended.
