Security Forces Demobilize Criminal Camps in Lilu, Mbosi Isseke, recover improvised explosives

A combined team of security operatives in Anambra State has dismantled a criminal in the Ihiala Lilu, Mbosi, and Isseke areas on Saturday. The operatives, comprising the Nigeria police and other security agencies, during the operation recovered three unexploded improvised explosives, two abandoned vehicles, copper wires, fuel, and other incriminating materials. Tochukwu Ikenga, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, stressed that this success was due to effective intelligence gathering from the security agencies in the state.  He however stated that the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, commended the operatives and reassured the public of the police’s commitment to combating crime. “This operation demonstrates our resolve to protect citizens and ensure public safety,” CP Itam stated, adding, “We will continue to dominate and deny criminal elements the space to operate.” The PPRO’s statement read in part: “Following the security intell...

Banditry: Investigate alleged Zamfara leaked memo - Ohanaeze youths tell ONSA

Apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has called on the Office of the National Security Advisder to conduct extensive  investigation into a leaked memo, which was alleged to have emanated from the Zamfara State Government.  In the leaked memo, which has been a subject of controversy, approval was said to have been made for high profile bandits, as well as some influential personalities.  Appearing during a TVC programme on Wednesday night, Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State described the memo as forged. E-CMR: We’ll no longer stop vehicles to check papers — Police

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has revealed that with the introduction of the digital Central Motor Registry Information System (e-CMR), Police officers would no longer need to stop vehicles to check their papers. The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi made this known on Wednesday night in a post via his X handle. He said Police Officers would now be equipped with cutting-edge technology to verify documents in real-time. Adejobi added that once the e-CMR goes into effect, vehicle owners and users would no longer need to carry physical documents as all vehicle document information would be available digitally. “No more stopping to check papers—our officers are equipped with cutting-edge tech to verify documents in real-time,” one of the tweets read. “With the NPF’s new E-CMR system, you don’t need to carry around physical documents.
