Enugu Guber: - Ohanaeze youths congratulates Mbah, appeal to opposition parties to accept defeat

The Apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has reacted to the outcome of the Enugu State governorship election held on March 18, 2023.  This is coming as the key opposition political parties in the Coal City State have all rejected the declaration of Barr. Peter Mbah of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as the winner of the election.  They have all indicated intention to challenge the outcome of the polls before the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal.  However, in a statement by the Ohanaeze Youths National President, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, he urged the aggrieved parties to jettison the idea of challenging Mbah’s victory in court.  Okwu said Mbah, having extended a hand of fellowship to his opponents, they should accept it in the interest of the entire State.  He said, “we are gladdened that the people of Enugu State gave their mandate to Barr. SOLUDO SIGNS MOU WITH EEDC FOR IMPROVED POWER SUPPLY IN ANAMBRA STATE

Supreme Court Reaffirms Edozie Njoku As National Chairman

  In a lead Judgment, Justice Garba Lawal held that Edozie Njoku was wrongly removed by a Jigawa court.     The Supreme Court has reaffirmed Edozie Njoku as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). The apex court made the pronouncement in a judgement on an application by Njoku, where he sought the regularisation of the amended judgment of Justice Mary Peter Odili delivered on May 9, 2022. Njoku’s motion also followed a letter of the Supreme Court to him on January 19, 2023, wherein the apex court had addressed him as the national chairman of APGA and advised him to approach the court by way of a motion to correct the slip. The accidental slip which was corrected by the Supreme Court has restored Njoku as the actual national chairman of the party that was wrongfully removed by a Jigawa High Court. Declare Peter Mbah winner - Ohanaeze youths tell INEC

The youth wing of apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to declare PDP’s Peter Mbah winner of the governorship election in Enugu State.  National President of the organisation, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike said in a statement on Monday that Mbah won the election.  He asked the INEC not to further delay the final declaration of the results.  “We want to tell the INEC that we are running out of patience; they should without further delay declare Peter Mbah winner of the election.  “Enugu people voted for him and he should be declared winner. The INEC should not set Enugu on fire,” Okwu said in a terse statement.

Imo APC alleges PDP frantic efforts to manipulate Ahiazu state constituency election results

In a breaking news story coming out of the Ahiazu Mbaise collation center, tension is said to be high as the All Progressives Congress (APC) alleges that the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) is attempting to manipulate the results of the March 18th State Assembly election. According to sources at the collation center, the PDP is working against the victory of the APC candidate, and despite a large margin of victory, they are refusing to concede defeat. The APC claims that the PDP is resorting to dirty tactics to try and alter the results in their favor. A video circulating online purports to show a fight breaking out between members of the PDP, who are allegedly attempting to manipulate the vote. Wild jubilation has erupted in Anambra state, the homeland of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), as the ruling party in the state survived the wave of the OBIdient Movement in the March 18 House of Assembly election in the state.
