Yesterday, the Emeka-nized Imo PDP released another cocktail of lies titled IMO ASSEMBLY: UZODINMA AND REIGN OF TYRANNY. In this propaganda, the deserted party tried to project Governor Hope Uzodinma as a tyrant. They tried to clothe him with every vice commonly known to have characterised Ihedioha's seven-and-a-half month misrule in Imo. Ever since this haughty Emeka was cast down from power, he has tried relentlessly to inflict Imo with his delusions to no avail, yet he continues to try. We would like to start by thanking president Muhammadu Buhari (commander in chief Fedral republic of Nigeria) for his positive disposition towards the southeast in his recent appointments, and directing Federal government policies that tilt towards giving the south east what is duly and truly theirs. Ichie Sir Izuchukwu Nwabueze has received in audience the National Association of Dunukofia students of Federal Polytechnic Oko. ~ As panel adjourns case till Nov 1 for hearing The Federal Government, on Tuesday, urged the Supreme Court to dismiss a suit that Rivers state government filed to stop it from ceding 17 disputed oil wells to Imo State. FG, in processes it filed through the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, further prayed the apex court to vacate an order of injunction it issued on July 14, which stopped the process of ceding the oil wells located at Akri and Mbede, to Imo state. The apex court had in an earlier chamber ruling it delivered in the matter, ordered FG and its agencies to halt actions pertaining to alleged plan to cede the oil wells to Imo state, pending the determination of the suit that was brought before it by the Rivers state government. The ruling followed an ex-parte application Rivers State argued through its lawyer, Mr. Emmanuel Ukala, SAN. The governorship candidate of Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the November 6 election in Anambra State, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has restated his confidence in the credibility of the poll come November 6th 2021. He said Anambra was too sophisticated for anybody to attempt to rig it, saying he had the mechanisms to announce the results before the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Ubah who spoke in Nnewi on Monday in reaction to a widespread fear that a certain political party had concluded plans to rig the poll, said a lot of factors had indicated that the election would be credible. He said, “I have my own situation room, and I have over 80,000 canvassers in the state. Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has congratulated the publisher of Eastern Lead Express, Mr. Declan Anaele, on his election as the new Chairman of Imo Newspaper Publishers Association (INPA), weekend. Anaele emerged winner in an election where he was a sole candidate, getting endorsed by 14 of his members in a voice vote. His closest rivalry and publisher of Frontline Express newspaper, Mrs. Shirley Munonye, reportedly dropped out of the contest in subtle way by failing to return her completed form.
