APC debunks rumoured postponement of membership registration

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has dismissed as “fake and highly mischievous”, some online reports (which we erroneously lifted from a national newspaper) indicating that it has postponed its membership registration and revalidation exercise scheduled to begin on Monday. The Party in a late-Saturday statement issued by the Secretary, Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee CECPC, Sen. John James Akpanudoedehe said a notice in circulation ascribing the postponement to him “is fake and highly mischievous”.

2023: South East Zonal Coordinator, Young Nigerian Voices, Urge Nigerians to support President of Igbo Extraction

The South East Zonal Coordinator of Young Nigerian Voices, Prince Collins Enwere, has called on Nigerians to support the project of having a Nigerian, from  South East extraction, at becoming the next president of the country come 2023. He made this known in a recent interaction with this newspaper. He however urged Igbo's to come together towards achieving this feat which has eluded the South East over the years. Prince Collins Enwere, an APC stalwart from Imo state, further tasked Ndigbo to join APC enmasse to ensure that Ndigbo play national politics, since the party is looking at the option of zoning the presidency to the South East. He called for Mass registration of Ndigbo into APC, with the start of registration on the 25th of January 2021. As this will give the party the encouragement, towards ceeding the presidency to the South East. Float a new party if you can, APC tells Okorocha

The Imo State chapter of  All Progressives Congress (APC) has said, that the party in the state  is waiting, for a former governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha, to take action on his planned political group or alignment before taking a stand on the issue because they are too busy to meddle on issues without relevance at the moment. The party’s caretaker chairman in the state, Marcon Nlemigbo, said this in an interview with newsmen in Owerri on Thursday. He said, the party was currently focused on supporting President Muhammadu Buhari and the state governor, H.E Sen. Hope Uzodinma, to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Imo state, as they are not ready to be distracted by Okorocha at the moment. Okorocha had in Rivers State recently, when he visited Governor Nyesom Wike to inaugurate some projects said, “We have bad people in APC, just as we have them in PDP and that was why I made the call in Rivers State that the good ones should come together to lead the people”...

2023: YOUNG NIGERIAN VOICES PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO HON CHUKWUEMEKA NWAJIUBA, ASK APC TO CONSIDER IGBO'S IN THEIR ZONING ARRANGEMENTS.

Don't Vilify CMAC Over The Death Of Prof Martin Ifeanyichukwu

An Onitsha based media consultant, Comrade Egbuna Daniel has warned against the politicization of the death of Prof Martin Ifeanyichukwu who allegedly died of Covid-19 related complications for selfish reason. Comrade Daniels said that it is worrisome that attempts are being made by some persons to rap the unfortunate incident on the Chairman Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC) of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH) Nnewi, Dr Joseph Ugboaja in order to score cheap political goals. The media guru said that the buck if there is any should stop on the table of Chief Medical Director (CMD) or the consultant that handled the case. BREAKING: EFCC Grants Obiano Bail

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has granted Obiano bail, stressing that the recent arrest and questioning of Willie Obiano, the immediate-past governor of Anambra State, is not political. The EFCC chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, said this on Monday while fielding questions from reporters at the 5th Annual General Assembly of the Network of National Anti-corruption institutions in West Africa (NACIWA). Mr Bawa also said the commission had granted an administrative bail to Mr Obiano but the ex-governor had yet to meet the bail conditions. “Nothing political about the arrest of the former Anambra State Governor, Wille Obiano. COVID-19: Don't politicise Dr Martin's death, NAUTH management warns

The management of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, NAUTH, Nnewi, Anambra State, has warned that  the death of Dr. Martins Ifeanyichukwu, Associate Professor of Laboratory Sciences and Immunology in the hospital, should not be politicised. Dr. Martins Ifeanyichukwu died on his way to Irruah hospital in Edo State, on Monday, January 11, after about two weeks battle with COVID-19.  Speaking to newsmen in Nnewi, yesterday, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Professor Anthony Igwuegbe, said the hospital tried its best to keep him stable before referring him to Irruah. "The death of Dr martins is devastating to us all, and we ask God to accord his soul an eternal rest as we console the family he left behind. Trump concede defeat, promises “orderly” transition

The outgoing president of United States, Mr. Donald Trump has finally conceded to President elect, Joe Biden after a long bickering on purported electoral fraud as speculated by Republicans on the last US Presidential election. Mr. Trump’s concession comes moments after the country’s parliament affirmed Biden’s Electoral College victory, American news network CNN is reporting. The outgoing U.S. leader, who lost his re-election bid in the keenly contested poll last November, described his controversial and largely tumultuous first tenure as the “greatest first term in the presidential history of the US, CNN said Thursday.  His acceptance, will pave way for the smooth handover of power to the president elect, Mr Joe Biden.
