Mmuozuom, Hails Obinna Okechukwu's Doggedness in repositioning Motorcycle Spare Parts Market Nnewi.

Chief Edward Mmuozuom, the Chairman Nnewi Traders Association, which is the umbrella body, recognised by Anambra state government to overlook activities of all the markets in Nnewi, the industrial hub of the South East, has hailed the doggedness of Hon. Obinna Okechukwu for his efforts at repositioning the market, which he said is visible in all ramifications. He made this assertion in his office, during an interactive session with newsmen, on the progress made so far by the government and Governor of Anambra state, led by Chief Willie Obiano towards bringing lasting peace in the markets in the state. Insecurity:Why Buhari must resign, HURIDE Boss

The leadership of Human Rights, Liberty Access and Defenders Foundation (HURIDE),  has backed Senator Abaribe's call for Presidemt Muhammadu Buhari to resign from office due unabated insecurity in the country. We can’t afford another civil war, Christian elders warn

THE National Christian Elders Forum, NCEF, yesterday, warned that going into another civil war may not augur well for the country just as it called for the formation of a new Nigeria. In a statement titled: National Christian Elders Forum, NCEF, Reconciliation through litigation, dated February 4, 2020, and signed by the chairman of NCEF, Elder Solomon Asemota SAN, the forum said that the present crops of leaders have failed the country. An Igbo socio cultural group, known as Emume Owuwa Anyanwu, has inaugurated its Anambra chapter of the organization. In there usual manner of helping the less privileged, Nnewi Progressive Youths Movement today, paid tuition fees for the less privileged but brilliant pupils of Uruagu Central School, Uruagu, Nnewi North LGA. The visit which was indeed a surprise package for the pupils was a way of giving back to the society for members of the group.   While Interacting with Nigerian Notch, the leader of the group, Nelson Okeke said that they were in the school to continue  with their good gesture in seeing to it, that the tuition fees of pupils in Nnewi community is paid, especially for the less privileged in the society.  He thanked the teachers of the school for nurturing the pupils to becoming citizens of Nigeria. U.S. announces additional $40m aid to Nigeria

The United States has announced an additional 40-million-dollar (N14 billion) aid to Nigeria to address the humanitarian crisis arising from decades of the Boko Haram insurgency. The Secretary of State, Mr Mike Pompeo, who made the announcement in Washington DC on Tuesday, said this was in addition to nearly 350 million dollars (N122.5 billion) in assistance provided by the U.S. last year.
