Ladies and gentlemen of the press Protocols. Let me start by thanking you members of the fourth estate for your commitment in the course of democracy in our dear state Imo and indeed Nigeria at this trying moments of our beleaguered history. It is a well known fact that PDP occupies the soul of the Imo electorate which has made the last gubernatorial primary election conducted in the state on the 1st of October a festering sore that has refused to leave us unless resolved to the satisfaction of the ever discerning Imo electorate. BREAKING NEWS: THE SENATE VETOES PRESIDENT BUHARI OVER ELECTORAL BILL

The Nigeria Senate has passed the Electoral Act No. 6 (2010 Amendment) Bill 2017 into law overriding the assent of the president . The amended act are as follows; 1. There shall now be full biometric accreditation of voters with Smart Card Readers and/or other technological devices, as INEC may introduce for elections from time to time. 2. Presiding Officers must now instantly transmit accreditation data and results from Polling Units to various collation centers. Presiding officer who contravene this shall be imprisoned for at least 5 years (no option of fine). 3. All Presiding Officer must now first record accreditation data and polling results on INEC’s prescribed forms before transmitting them. The data/result recorded must be the same with what they transmitted. 4. INEC now has unfettered powers to conduct elections by electronic voting. 5. MDCAN set to hold free medical care in Anambra

Medical and Dental Consultants, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi, will be holding a free medical outreach at MBAUKWU General Hospital, Anambra state as part of its corporate social responsibility, to their host communities. It will include medical assessments, provision of drugs, surgeries, eye care and provision of medicated glasses. Madumere floors Okorocha again in court

  An Imo State High Court, presided over by Hon. Justice Kemakolam A. Ojiako, Wednesday, upheld the prayers of the Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, and quashed the purported gubernatorial primary allegedly held on October 6, 2018, by the Governor Rochas Okorocha faction of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state. This development came as the Governor, his son in-law, Mr. Uche Nwosu and their supporters continue to sulk over the political humiliation they suffered in the hands of the APC Coalition Force, during the October 1, 2018, gubernatorial primary. Okorocha and Madumere Justice Ojiako granted all the prayers sought by Prince Madumere, including the prayer that the October 1, 2018, APC primary election was credible, relevant and meets the parameters for the exercise. Labour to demand for areas of minimum wage

THE organised labour Wednesday hinted that it has the plan to demand for two years areas of the new national minimum wage for workers in the country. President of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Ayuba Wabba dropped the hint when he received the General Secretary of the Public Service International, Mrs Rosa Pavanelli, in his office in Abuja. Rice Production Creates 12m Jobs In 2 Years – PMB

The federal government says its revolution in agriculture, especially in the rice sub-sector, has cut down the country’s unemployment rate by 12 million jobs in just two years. In a scorecard he presented yesterday in Abuja, in agriculture alone, President Muhammadu Buhari said that through massive rice production in the last two years, 12 million Nigerians have been gainfully employed.
