Soludo To Commission Chinua Achebe Airport Road Umueri

The Executive Governor of Anambra State His Excellency Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo is to commission the Chinua Achebe International Passenger and Cargo Airport Road Umueri in Anambra-East Local Government Area of the state on Monday 7th April, 2025. 

President-General of Umueri community Amb. Dr. John Metchie who disclosed this to HEADLINE NEWS on Sunday, said the airport road is one of the governor's road revolution in the state and very pivotal to the effective operation of the airport, adding that Umueri community has been a beneficiary of the dividends of democracy championed by the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the state. 

Metchie who lauded the governor's commitment to road infrastructure, maintained that the governor has awarded over 700 kilometers of roads and completed over 450 kilometers. He therefore emphasized that the grand commissioning of the airport road at Umueri is another significant milestone of the Solution Government. 

The President-General on behalf of the traditional ruler of Umueri community His Royal Majesty Igwe Bennett Emeka Izuchukwu and the Executive Mayor of Anambra-East Council Area Hon. Ifeanyi Chinweze, expressed profound gratitude and deepest appreciation to Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for the commissioning of the Chinua Achebe International Passenger and Cargo Airport Road Umueri, saying that the governor is indeed living up to his electoral promises and deserves the support and collaboration of the people of Umueri and Ndi-Anambra in general. 

He however assured the governor that Umueri community will contribute its quota to his second term reelection bid even as he invited the general public to come and witness the grand commissioning of the Chinua Achebe International Passenger and Cargo Airport Road Umueri Anambra-East Local Government Area of the state.
