Idemili North Mayor Appoints Seasoned Grassroots Mobilizer, Hon. Mmaduabuchi Onwumelu, Special Adviser (SPAD) On Youth Mobilization And Development

The Youth-friendly Mayor of Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State,  Hon. Stanley Nkwoka (Ochendo Idemili) has appointed a renowned grassroots mobilizer cum veteran journalist, Hon. Mmaduabuchi Onwumelu, his Special Adviser (SPAD) On Youth Development and Mobilization. Hon Onwumelu, until his appointment, was the Media Aide to the Council Boss. 

  Presenting the appointment letter to him in his office domiciled inside Idemili North Council's Headquarters, Ogidi, the Mayor of the most populous and densely populated Council Area in Anambra State charged the new appointee to use his office to produce a workable plans geared towards engaging Idemili North youths effectively and efficiently, expressing optimism that he would bring his wealth of experience and technical-know-how to bear in the discharge of his duties.

  The number one citizen of Idemili North assured that youths must be given their pride of place in his administration and as well serve as a catalyst to a liveable, prosperous, smart and mega Idemili North Local Government, emphasizing that to reduce crime and criminality to the barest minimum youths must be meaningfully and systematically engaged. 

 Receiving his appointment, Hon. Mmaduabuchi Onwumelu expressed gratitude to God Almighty for His grace and mercies towards him. He thanked the Mayor for the opportunity given to him to serve in that capacity, pledging to justify the confidence reposed in him.

 'I will live up to the confidence reposed in me. I will not disappoint. I am committed to justifying the trust that you have been placed in me. I dedicate this appointment to the entire youths of Idemili North Local Government, especially the Youth Wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Idemili North Chapter, the ASATU Youth Wing, Idemili North Chapter, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Idemili North Chapter, the Anglican Youth Fellowship of Nigeria, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (Youth Wing), Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (CYON), the Girls Guild and Boys Scout. I crave your support to enable me to carry out the core mandate of my office.
