PHILANTHROPIST EMEKA OKWUOSA TO HOST FREE OPEN-HEART SURGERY MEDICAL MISSION FOR NDI ANAMBRA AND SOUTH EAST

Engr Okwuosa who is the Chairman/ GCEO OilServ Nig. Ltd & Chairman Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation (SEOF) is giving back to Anambra Community, making a transformative impact on the Health and Well-being of Ndi Anambra and South East in general .
His World Class Cardio-Vascular Facility in Oraifite, known as the Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Hospital DIOMH has scheduled again another Medical Mission that offers immense benefits to Ndi Anambra and South East by making healthcare more accessible, bringing life-changing surgeries to those who may otherwise not have access to these services.
Partnering with the Medical Experts under the VOOM Foundation USA, the upcoming Open Heart Medical Mission in May 2025 holds incredibly high expectations as it will provide life-saving surgeries and interventions, targeting 10 pediatric open heart surgeries, 20 adult open heart surgeries, and 10 pediatric interventional cardiology procedures.
Our trusted partners, VOOM Foundation, will ensure that all procedures meet the highest international standards. Beyond medical intervention, this initiative brings hope to families and drives change in the Nigerian health sector, improving long-term health outcomes for our people.
With the commitment of you our stakeholders, 10 Ndi Anambra indigenes can directly benefit from this mission. This aligns with our ongoing efforts to safeguard the health and well-being of our people.
In previous missions, Ndi Anambra and the South East have been major beneficiaries, comprising 30% of the total recipient pool. These past efforts have provided life-changing medical care to hundreds, and we hope to extend this impact even further with your support.
According to the Nigerian Cardiac Registry, our team accounts for approximately 10% of all documented cardiac surgeries performed in Nigeria.
In 2022 and 2024, we achieved a significant milestone by conducting the highest number of cardiac surgeries in the country, leading the national chart with 31 and 51 surgeries to date.
This remarkable achievement underscores our commitment to addressing the critical need for cardiac care in Nigeria.
The total cost of running each medical mission is estimated at 350 million Naira, covering medical supplies, travel, logistics, and expert healthcare provider fees. To achieve this, we are calling on Anambra stakeholders, including government bodies and philanthropists, to join hands in sponsoring these vital open-heart surgeries for Ndi Anambra with Cardiac Cases.. With your support, we can reach more people, provide high-quality care, and ensure that our communities receive the healthcare they deserve.
