Anambra PDP Inaugurates Party Committees,Sets Sight on 2025 Governorship Election

In a significant move to reposition the party for the 2025 governorship election, the Anambra State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has inaugurated various committees to drive the party's affairs in critical areas.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, held at De Geogold Hotel & Suites Hall,Awka, on the 5th of February 2025. The PDP State Chairman, Chidi Chidebe, emphasized the importance of unity, discipline, and grassroots engagement in achieving the party's goals. He noted that the newly inaugurated committees have been carefully selected based on their experience, loyalty, capacity, and dedication to the PDP.

The committees inaugurated include, strategic planning and policy development committee,responsible for shaping the policy direction of the party and ensuring effective strategy formulation. Grassroots mobilization and outreach committee, tasked with deepening the party's presence at the grassroots and engaging with the electorate. Reconciliation and Unity Committee, focused on healing divisions, strengthening internal cohesion, and fostering party unity. Others are fundraising and resource nobilization committee, charged with ensuring the financial sustainability of the party.

Media and communication committee which is to manage public engagement, enhance the party's media visibility, and shape it's relationship with the media in the state. State Elders Committee, which comprised of experienced leaders who will provide wise counsel and guidance for the party's progress.

The state Chairman of the party in the state, Bar Chidi Chidebe however urged the newly inaugurated members to work diligently, promote teamwork, and demonstrate absolute commitment to the vision of the PDP in Anambra State. He emphasized that the party's mission is not just to win elections but to rebuild the trust and confidence of the people of Anambra State.

This development is part of Chidebe's 5-point agenda, which includes reuniting and reconciling members, enhancing party structures, building strategic partnerships, re-energizing electoral machinery, and promoting accountability and transparency.

With the inauguration of these committees, the Anambra State PDP has taken a significant step towards repositioning itself for the 2025 governorship election and beyond.
