Senator Magnus Abe's New Role: A Beacon of Hope for Nigeria's Environment - UNIEC

The United Igbo Elders Council Worldwide (UNIEC) has extended it's warm congratulations to Senator Magnus Ngie Abe on his recent appointment as Chairman of the Agency for the Great Green Wall. This was made known in a press release by the Organization today in Porthacourt, the Rivers state capital, signed by the President Rivers state chapter, HRH Eze Fyneface Ndukwe Amaechi, His Lordship, Justice Ikpeama, the Director General and the Rivers state Coordinator, Chief O.Z Ubah. 

The President of the Organization Rivers state chapter, HRH Eze Fyneface Ndukwe Amaechi in the statement said that "this esteemed position is a testament to his exceptional leadership and intellect, which has consistently set him apart."

He said as Chairman of the Great Green Wall, Senator Abe will play a crucial role in combating land degradation and desertification, thus enhancing food security, and empowering communities to adapt to the challenges posed by climate change in Nigeria. The group also averred that his leadership in this area gives us hope for a more sustainable environment and revitalized green landscapes in the country.

"The Great Green Wall initiative is a vital national responsibility, and we are confident that Senator Abe will tackle it with dedication and efficacy. His commitment to creating a better future for Nigeria is inspiring, and we stand firmly behind him, supporting his efforts every step of the way.

The United Igbo Elders Council (UNIEC) Worldwide maintained that their unwavering support for Senator Abe is scarosant and as such will do everything to ensure he succeeds in his new role at the federal level. They said their endorsement is a testament to his outstanding character and leadership abilities.

The President of United Igbo Elders Council Worldwide, HRH Eze Fyneface Ndukwe Amaechi was a front-runner in the just concluded Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Presidential Election. He hails from Ozuzu Etche Community in Rivers state of Nigeria.
