NANS SouthEast Coordinator Leads Delegation to Ex Abia Assembly Speaker for New Year Visit, Presents Live Cow As Gift

The Southeast zonal coordinator of the National Association of Nigerian Students NANS, Giant Comr Charles Obinna Ijeomah, made a significant gesture on January 2nd as he led a delegation of student leaders to pay a new year courtesy visit to the former speaker of Abia state House of Assembly, RT Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji (Ikuku Abia) at his residence in Umuahia Abia state.

The purpose of the visit was to acknowledge the former speaker's remarkable contributions to the development of education in Abia state, as well as his unflinching support for students and youths. Giant Comr Charles Obinna Ijeomah highlighted the former speaker's role in passing bills that aimed at improving the standard of education in the state, as well as his efforts in providing scholarships and empowering the youth.
In a show of appreciation for his dedication and service, the southeast chapter of NANS came together to present a live cow valued at One million one hundred thousand naira (1.1 million) as a Christmas and New Year gift to RT Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji. 

The coordinator revealed that the zonal leadership made up of students from various institutions came together and contributed to raise the substantial amount to purchase the cow, symbolizing their deep respect and admiration for the former speaker.

RT Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji was visibly touched by the gesture and expressed his gratitude for the unexpected gift. He pledged to reciprocate the kind gesture financially and assured the students of his continued support for their activities. He commended the students for their initiative and encouraged them to remain focused on improving the welfare of students across the southeast.
