Hundreds of mourners, friends, well-wishers, media representatives, and party faithful gathered are presently at Emmaus House in Awka for a candlelight procession to honor the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.  Chief Egwuonwu in his speech expressed his deep grief over the loss of his friend and brother, Senator Ubah, saying it's hard to find words to convey his emotions. The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) on Thursday 14th November, marked the 2024 World Savings Day with the theme" Act of Humanity" where the Corporation trained students on how to save for future benefits. Apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide on Friday came down hard on former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, accusing him of demonstrating unprecedented desperation in his bid to become Nigeria’s president.  The group was reacting to a post by Atiku on his social media handle. ABUJA—THE Federal Executive Council (FEC) yesterday approved a budget proposal of N47.9 trillion for the 2025 fiscal year and borrowing of N13.8 trillion. The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, disclosed this while briefing State House correspondents, at the end of the Council meeting, presided over by President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The approval is part of the Medium Term Expenditure Framework, MTEF, and Fiscal Strategy Paper, for 2025-2027, by the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2007. The framework is expected to be submitted to the National Assembly as required by law, either on Friday or Monday. A senior lecturer and consultant anesthesiologist at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Dr. Chukwudi Ojiakor, has leveled serious allegations against Vice Chancellor Dr. Bernard Odoh, questioning his qualifications and legitimacy to be the vice chancellor of the university.  In a Zoom interview on November 13, 2024, Dr. Ojiakor cited Dr. Odoh's lack of administrative experience, non-professorial status, and allegedly forged documents from the University of Guasu, which the university has affirmed to be fake and also denied issuing such documents.  Dr. Ojiakor emphasized Dr. Odoh's inexperience, bias from the Pro Chancellor against medical school professors, and violation of university Senate's role in the VC election process, which he said lacked integrity.  He said, Dr Odoh's continued stay as the Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikikwe University is wrong as there are many evidences to proof the fact that he is an impostor.
