Prominent Leaders Pay Tribute to Late Sen Ifeanyi Ubah, at Anambra Community Candlelight Procession in Awka

Hundreds of mourners, friends, well-wishers, media representatives, and party faithful gathered are presently at Emmaus House in Awka for a candlelight procession to honor the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.  Chief Egwuonwu in his speech expressed his deep grief over the loss of his friend and brother, Senator Ubah, saying it's hard to find words to convey his emotions. However, he says that he finds solace in the tremendous impact Senator Ubah had on the lives of those he encountered. Chief Owelle Mbaso, leader of Anambra Former Political Appointees in paying glowing tribute said that Senator Ubah led a life worthy of emulation. NDIC marks 2024 world savings day, teaches students how to save for future

The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) on Thursday 14th November, marked the 2024 World Savings Day with the theme" Act of Humanity" where the Corporation trained students on how to save for future benefits. The Corporation commemorated the World Savings day with students from different public secondary schools in Imo state at Girls Secondary School Akwakuma where students were taught on the benefits and significance of saving. Apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide on Friday came down hard on former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, accusing him of demonstrating unprecedented desperation in his bid to become Nigeria’s president.  The group was reacting to a post by Atiku on his social media handle. 2025 budget: FG to borrow N13.8trn

ABUJA—THE Federal Executive Council (FEC) yesterday approved a budget proposal of N47.9 trillion for the 2025 fiscal year and borrowing of N13.8 trillion. The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, disclosed this while briefing State House correspondents, at the end of the Council meeting, presided over by President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The approval is part of the Medium Term Expenditure Framework, MTEF, and Fiscal Strategy Paper, for 2025-2027, by the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2007. The framework is expected to be submitted to the National Assembly as required by law, either on Friday or Monday. Bagudu outlined several key parameters that will guide the 2025 budget based on economic projections and government priorities. The Zone 9 Police Command, Umuahia, has vehemently denied allegations of extortion leveled against its officers, describing the claims as baseless and a deliberate attempt to tarnish its reputation.
