Apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has expressed outrage over the reported threat against Ndigbo in Lagos and other South-West states.  It was reported that there are calls on social media, trending under the hashtag #IgboMustGo on X, demanding the forced relocation of Igbo people from Lagos and other Southwest states. Kenechukwu Ofomah - Awka With just a day to the proposed nationwide hardship strike, Nigerian youths have been asked to explore diplomatic engagement, instead of protest that may yield unintended consequences.  The Executive Secretary, Crafts Create Jobs Development Initiative, Comrade Frank Maduka, who made the plea in a chat with newsmen in Awka, said although it is more difficult and takes more time, diplomatic engagement guarantees better and lasting results. Baring every last-minute change in plans, the protest will begin on Thursday, as organizers have reportedly forwarded their names and venues of protest to the Nigeria Police Force. •••Law Reviewable Every Three Years. President Bola Tinubu has signed the new National Minimum Wage Amendment bill 2024 into law. The law is reviewable every three years. This follows the resolution between the government, private sector and the organised labour on N70,000 minimum wage. Tinubu signed it at the State House in Abuja on Monday days after the National Assembly passed the bill. The President signed the bill midway into the Federal Executive Council meeting. The Head of Service said the new law will undoubtedly reassure the workers that the President cares about their welfare.  Senate President Godswill Akpabio led National Assembly leaders to the signing ceremony.  President Tinubu thanked the National Assembly for accelerating the passage of the bill.

Igbo Indigenes in Rivers State has paid a scheduled courtesy visit to Senator Magnus Abe (Dike di Ora NMA ndigbo)for the continued show of love to the Ndigbo in Rivers State.  During the solidarity visit, the leader of Igbo concerned citizens in the state, Chief Dr O.
