Rotary Club Nnewi Dust to Desk Program Kick Starts in Obiofia Umunnem Central School

Rotary Club Nnewi's "Dust to Desk Program" has officially kicked off at Obiofia Umunnem Central School, marking a significant milestone in the club's mission to support education and empower local communities.

The program's launch was made possible by the generosity of Mr. Ugochukwu Okonkwo, Chairman of Anambra Unity Fellowship Nnewi Zone, who donated desks and chairs to the school. This act of kindness was witnessed by Prof. A.U. Anyanwelu, the District Governor, who was present to show his support for the initiative.

The "Dust to Desk Program" aims to create a conducive learning environment for students, providing them with the necessary tools and resources to succeed academically. By doing so, the program seeks to "impact smiles" in the community, recognizing that education is a key driver of positive change.

As Mr. Ugochukwu aptly put it, "the best one can do is to make people smile." This philosophy is at the heart of Rotary Club Nnewi's community-driven approach, which prioritizes the needs of local residents and seeks to address them through sustainable and impactful initiatives.

The "Dust to Desk Program" is just one example of Rotary Club Nnewi's commitment to education and community development. As part of Rotary International's global network, the club is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of others, one project at a time.

By supporting initiatives like the "Dust to Desk Program," Rotary Club Nnewi is helping to create a brighter future for students in Obiofia Umunnem Central School and beyond. As the club continues to work towards its goal of "impacting smiles" in the community, it is clear that its efforts will have a lasting and positive impact on the lives of those it serves.
