Ohaneze-Ndigbo To Confer Best President-General On Infrastructural Projects Award On Umueri PG John Metchie

The Anambra State Chapter of the Ohaneze-Ndigbo Worldwide has announced the conferment of Best President-General On Infrastructural Projects Award on the President-General of Umueri community in Anambra-East Local Government Area, Amb. Dr. John Metchie. 

The award ceremony which would be held on 14th December this year at King David Hotel Awka, would be bestowed on him in recognition of his outstanding achievements as the President-General of Umueri community especially in deploying his personal resources to build a multimillion naira ultramodern joint security post for the military, police and other security agencies to curb security breaches in Umueri community. 

Apart from security, Metchie has also touched lives through programmes and projects in education, health, agriculture, infrastructure and a host of other sectors; ensuring access to good life for his people. 

His sterling performance as Umueri PG also earned him the prestigious award of ASATU Prime Minister bestowed on him by the Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU) amongst other numerous awards and recognitions given to him by local and international organizations for his extraordinary leadership capacity and capability. 

A letter jointly signed by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee Chief Augustine Udoh, Secretary of the Organising Committee Innocent Okafor and the State President of Ohaneze-Ndigbo in Anambra Obi Chukwuemekalum Udodeme confirming the conferment of Best President-General On Infrastructural Projects Award on him by Ohaneze-Ndigbo Anambra State Chapter reads in part, "  We are delighted to inform that the Executive of Ohaneze-Ndigbo Anambra State Chapter at its recently concluded meeting, has unanimously selected you for an award ( The Best President-General On Infrastructural Projects). This award is in recognition of your immeasurable contributions to progress of Ndigbo in general. "

Valentine Ozigbo Resigns from Labour Party

In a shocking move, against all speculations over the last few days, Valentine Ozigbo, a close ally of Peter Obi, has announced his resignation from the Labour Party (LP).
