As Anambra Speaker thanks God for wife's restored health and the privilege of serving the state
Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, Chief (Dr) Ebuka Onunkwo, and other prominent figures in the state gathered at the Cathedral Church of St James in Atani to celebrate with the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, RT. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze. The occasion was a thanksgiving service to commemorate the restoration of Hon. Udeze's wife's health as well as God's divine guidance in the discharge of his duties as the speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly.
The event, which took place on Sunday, December 22, drew a large crowd of dignitaries and well-wishers from across the state.
While at the event, Chief (Dr) Onunkwo praised the gesture, noting that only those who have lost a spouse can truly appreciate the vital role a wife plays in a man's life. He expressed gratitude to God for granting Hon. Udeze's wife another chance at life.
Chief (Dr) Onunkwo also praised the speaker for the critical roles he has played towards ensuring a stable state House of Assembly that understands the vision of the state government and works as partners in progress towards the delivery of the Anambra of our dream.
His words resonated with the audience, who were visibly moved by the heartfelt sentiments expressed during the service. The atmosphere was filled with joy and gratitude as the congregation came together to thank God for the gift of life and health.
In his remark, Chief (Dr) Onunkwo also commended Governor Soludo's outstanding performance, particularly in the health sector. He praised the governor's efforts in strengthening primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare systems, as well as consolidating and enhancing the health insurance system. This, he noted, has enabled Anambra residents to access quality healthcare regardless of their socio-economic status.
The well-attended thanksgiving service was a testament to the strong bond between the people of Anambra State and their leaders. Some of the dignitaries that graced the event included the Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo CFR, the members of the State House of Assembly, members of the state executive council, and several others.
