"Renegotiating a Brighter Future: Amb. Greg Mbadiwe Joins Federal Committee"

Ambassador Greg Mbadiwe, Pro-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, has been appointed to the Federal Government's committee to renegotiate the 2009 agreements with university-based unions, including ASUU. With his extensive experience in education administration and diplomacy, hopes are high that he'll bring valuable insights.

The committee, chaired by Prof. Yayale Ahmed, aims to conclude its work within three months. Prof. Ahmed emphasized the need for patriotism, sincerity, and cooperation from all stakeholders to review the 2009 agreement and reflect current realities.

ASUU President, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, expressed optimism about the committee's success, reaffirming ASUU's readiness for renegotiation. He emphasized the goal of creating a better future for universities, where all students can learn together regardless of background.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. The police and other security agencies were said to have conducted land and aerial raids at the identical hideout of the Iceland cult leader and his gang at Idu-Ekpeye in Ahoada East local government area of Rivers on Saturday, February 17.
