Hon. Echezona Anazodo resumes as Executive Chairman, Nnewi North

.....Says, I am not accountable to any godfather

Engr Chris Obiora the formal Transition Committee Chairman of Nnewi North LGA has formally handed over the reins of power in Nnewi North Local Government Area to Hon. Echezona Anazdo, marking the beginning of a new era in the administration of the LGA. The ceremony, which took place at the council's headquarters, was attended by top government officials, traditional rulers, councilors and other stakeholders in the industrial hub of the south east. 

In his farewell speech, Engr Obiora reflected on his achievements during his tenure, citing improvements in infrastructure, healthcare, and education. He expressed gratitude to the people of Nnewi North for their support and cooperation, saying, "It's been an honor to serve this great local government area, I urge you to give the same support to Hon Echezona Anazodo" Engr Obiora also offered words of encouragement to his successor, urging him to build on the foundations laid during his tenure.

Hon. Anazdo, in his acceptance speech, pledged to continue the good work started by his predecessor. He outlined his vision for the LGA, focusing on economic development, job creation, and improved service delivery. He however stressed that he does not have any godfather, and is not accountable to any. He rather stressed that what Nnewi as a town have are sons and daughters who want the growth and development of the town and he promised to work hand in golve with them to make Nnewi North great again.  The new chairman assured the people of Nnewi North that his administration would be transparent, accountable, and responsive to their needs.

Stakeholders present at the ceremony, include Austin Emmanuel Jideofor, Hon. Jude Osumuoh, Hon Afam Muodielo, Mr Innocent Okoli ( Organizer) husband to the Deputy Chairman, Mrs Okoli.  They urged Hon. Anazdo to prioritize the welfare of the people and work towards the development of the LGA.

As Hon. Echezona Anazdo begins his tenure, the people of Nnewi North look forward to a new era of progress and development. With his wealth of experience and vision for the LGA, there is optimism that he will take the council to greater heights. The handing over ceremony marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of another, as Nnewi North LGA embarks on a new journey of growth and transformation.

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid.
