Soludo remains the Solution Anambra Deserves - Dr Law Mefor

Dr Lawrence Mefor, the newly sworn in commissioner of information in Anambra state has reaffirmed his support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo's adminstration stating that he is the solution Anambra deserves especially in this trying times.

He made this assertion today in an exclusive interview he granted to our correspondent in Awka, the capital of Anambra state. He said that many did not know, that he was part of the Soludo transition committee under the tutulege of Prof Oby Ezekwesili, as he contributed to the blueprint on the government's vision and also to Soludo's gubernatorial manifesto in 2021.

He used the opportunity to highlight on the government's achievements that has been under- reported in the last 2 years and half. He said that notwithstanding, Soludo's policies have further developed the  education sector, expanded road infrastructure, deepened agricultural involvement and has laid a foundation for a digital Anambra. He said this has been done through the free education policy, and critical government policies, which in future will be a holistic approach towards liberating Ndi Anambra, just like the Igba boi phenomenon did for Igbo's immediately after the civil war.

Hon. Dr Lawrence Mefor stressed that trajectory which Prof Charles Soludo is bring to bear anchors on who he is and these enduring legacies include, expansion of road infrastructure through the building of roads with a 20-50 year lifespan, which is geared towards connecting every local government in Anambra, thereby making Anambra a one city state, implementing free education policies to liberate Ndi Anambra, planting of cash crops, through providing of improved seedlings like coconut, and palm oil seeds for a multiplier effect in the next decade and through the firm foundation laying of a digital Anambra.

He said that as the government is building road infrastructure, the government is also laying a strong broadband internet infrastructure for seamless connectivity, making illiteracy or lack of not being able to read or write not a barrier for the anticipated development that will come from the expected digital revolution. He also commended the government of Anambra state under Prof Soludo, for working on achieving 100% export from the Umueri International airport, an opportunity that will connect Anambra to the world and also give Ndi Anambra foreign exchange which most sought after now.

Continuing, Dr Mefor said that being part of the Soludo transition committee under  the tutulege of Prof Oby Ezekwesili, that he had the privilege of being part of the inteligensia to give out a blueprint on how this government will run towards becoming a model for others through the Anambra vision 2070.  Soludo gubernatorial manifesto. He said that "the generic blueprint of Prof Charles Soludo is what will transform Anambra to the dream he has for the state, as he has laid the groundwork and foundation already. And he is caring every sector at the same time."

He said " like a jigsaw puzzle, until the pieces comes together, one can't appreciate it. it's however impossible to see the real picture until it's fixed together but surely Soludo is fixing Anambra."

He therefore asked Ndi Anambra to peserve a little longer, as the revolution the Soludo administration is placing on agriculture, education, roads, healthcare, etc is gradually paying off, as the state was recognized as the third most viable state to do business in recently, after Lagos, and Rivers State.

He said as Anambra has already exited non viability, the state is now a viable state, to achieve the Anambra dream.
"You need to see the end from the beginning as he has conceptualized Anambra, or what Anambra ought to be, as he doesn't want to dwell on what Anambra is, he is working on what Anambra ought to be, as this is very fundamental, and based on our inherent potentials cut across the three zones of the state."

He said roads in the state is being constructed in a way that every local government in Anambra state should at least have a road
"Soludo believes that Anambra is a natural one city state, reason he has ensured that roads are being built throughout the state to connect Ndi Anambra. That is to say, that rural Anambra will disappear in no distant time. And he is doing that physically through road infrastructure, as he has awarded and has the execution of over 500km roads on stone based which is more solid across the 21 LGAs of the state and is technologically setting up an internet hub across the state as well."

He commended Prof Soludo for being able to use the merge resources of Anambra without borrowing a cent, to bring Anambra to a level of being one of the three most viable state's in the federation, even though the state house of assembly has given him the approval to get the 100B loan facility which he did not take, that aspect of governance from him should be commended.

He averred that the mantra Solution is here is indeedz and is evident in all the aspects of living in Anambra today as he has done these things only through critical thinking. "Look at the issue of planting of cash crops in the state, which the governor is driving by given improved seedlings, coconut and plam oil seeds. This will have a multipler effect in the next ten years or more, when he must have exited governance, that is how cerebral he is."

On the upcoming local election, he said that it will be impossible if APGA doesn't record 21/21 as the party is strongly rooted in the state, and that the governor has done his best by empowering the party and it's faithful towards enthroning the dividends of democracy at the grassroots.
