The Anambra Police have once more made significant strides in their ongoing efforts to combat crime and criminality in the state. Recently, they successfully intercepted a suspect carrying three bags of garri (cassava flakes) concealing a large quantity of gunpowder, intended for production of improvised explosives. The suspect, whose name has not been disclosed, was en route to a criminal camp when he was apprehended. The Comman's PPRO, SP Tochukwu Ikenga in a press release made available to Journalists in Awka said that the criminal was caught during a routine patrol in Aguata on September 22, 2024.
These breakthroughs demonstrate the police's commitment to disrupting criminal activities in Anambra. All suspects, the PPRO said will face charges upon conclusion of the investigation.
