The attention of Major General Lincoln Keonyemere Jack Ogunewe has been drawn to a story published in one local Newspaper in the State that he is set to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC). This story is gaining traction in the State and beyond.

The press release for the purpose of clarity however stated that Major General Lincoln Keonyemere Jack Ogunewe (rtd) wishes to state that he has not joined any political party for now. The Mbaise born General communicated his resignation of his membership of Action Alliance Party and stated that he wishes to remain non-partisan for the moment. Nothing has shifted in this decision and if there is any change of mind in the future, it will be duly communicated to the public accordingly and not through person(s) unknown to him. BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. The police and other security agencies were said to have conducted land and aerial raids at the identical hideout of the Iceland cult leader and his gang at Idu-Ekpeye in Ahoada East local government area of Rivers on Saturday, February 17.
