APC NWC Members Accuse NDDC MD of Sabotaging President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda

Again members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have accused the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) of deliberately sabotaging the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration.

This allegation was made known to the media by a source who confirmed that the NWC and a number of stakeholders including a number of sitting governors had concluded plans to draw the attention of the president to the nefarious activities of the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku which the NWC claims was undermining the president's agenda on a region very critical to the nation's economic development.

The source gave examples of how a number of NDDC projects were being sold for whooping amounts of money and in lots. Such projects are awarded without following the laid down due process and on most occasions have gone to persons not qualified for such projects thus resulting in either a poor delivery or such jobs or non delivery.

There is also the talk of a forced parting of 30% to certain persons fronting for the MD before such contractors were paid. Such strangulation had made contractors reluctant to execute NDDC contracts thus resulting in the NDDC having abandoned projects littered all over.

The source alleged that very soon a high powered delegation comprising of APC NWC members from the NDDC region would be enlisted to visit the president with complaints from these stakeholders.

The source alleged that with the series of mismanagement occuring in the institution, stakeholders such as the members of the NWC would no longer fold their hands and allow the MD of the NDDC to provoke members of the Niger Delta into a state of antagonism and frustration against the Tinubu administration.
Wondering why despite the humongous funds allocated to the institution, there was little or nothing to show for it under the leadership of Ogbuku.

The source pointed out that to the members of the NWC, it was their duty to draw the attention of the president and his advisers to the present state of affairs within the NDDC, where a number of projects have not been completed despite the evidence that funds had been released for such.
