FG Promise Sustained Partnership with IVM

........As Minister of state Petroleum Inspects IVM Factory in Nnewi


The Federal Government of H.E Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has promised sustained collaborative partnership with Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company (IVM) Nnewi, Anambra state. This was disclosed during an inspection tour of the facility by the Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Ekperikpe Ekpo.

During the visit, the minister was taking round the facility to see first hand the great milestones Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company has taken over the years to sustain the development of a world class automobile infrastructure in the South East, as the minister was taken to all the sections of the plant. The Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company, in accordance with the directive of the Federal government has also aligned with the CNG conversion project of the government and has started the production of CNG solutions in form of buses, and other categories of vehicles to cater for the high cost of fuel in the country. 

Fielding questions from journalists, the minister said he was impressed with what has seen at the factory which is inline with the federal government directives and promised a collaboration with the company to further sustain the venture.

He commended the efforts of the Chairman and CEO of the Company, Chief Dr, Innocent Chukwuma for what they have done which is line with the aspirations of Mr President and indeed the president will be very happy to know that one of his subjects is developing this to catch up with his aspirations at the national level in the use of the CNG. 

The minister therefore encouraged Nigerians to patronize Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company especially it's CNG vehicles, as that is the way to go he said. 

Continuing, he said that with the declaration of Gas as a transitional fuel for Nigeria that IVM has taken the bull by the horn by doing the needful in investing in the facility, which will inturn help bring down the cost of transportation and services in the country, as it's cheaper, cleaner and more environmental friendly, which is also inline with climate change initiative.

Responding, the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company, Chief Dr Innocent Chukwuma thanked the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration for the wonderful initiative of gas being a transitional fuel for the country. He said that with this, the masses in the country are assured of cheaper cost of moving goods and services from point A to B, regarding the cost of the fuel for these CNG powered vehicles. He also commended the minister for finding time out of his busy schedule to visit the Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company and see things for himself first hand, and is sure that he will take the good news to the federal executive council meeting of what is happening in Nnewi, Anambra state. 

He assured of his capacity to produce massively and urged the government to partner with the company for sustainable growth and employment opportunities for the youths in the country.

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid.
