The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by the Supreme leader Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu KANU has debunked the fallacious statement credited to the Army Chief of Staff that Simon Ekpa is the leader of IPOB. They said that the Nigeria Army Chief is much aware that IPOB has disassociated herselves from criminal activities of Simon Ekpa and his autobandit gangs. Nigeria Army, DSS, Police and Simon Ekpa are all in collusion to blackmail Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. IPOB and ESN have no other leader except our supreme leader, Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu KANU, the statement from Emma Powerful stressed.
Recall, that the Nigeria Army's latest media outburst that Simon Ekpa is an IPOB leader is nothing other than blackmail towards the upcoming judgment of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's Supreme Court case. Moreso, the linking of Simon Ekpa to IPOB leadership and his recent tweet where he threatened to start violent evacuation of Nigeria military in the South East is part of their collective plans to renew violence in the Southeast. Both Nigeria Security Forces and Simon Ekpa have the same objectives, the statement stressed.
"The first is to renew violence, killings, and destruction of properties in the Southeast that have been quiet for some time now."
"It is to use their renewed violent activities as evidence to bias the minds of the Supreme Court Justices not to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on the 15th of December based on National Security interest. We knew that the Supreme Court Justices was under pressure from the federal government not to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Hence, they are shopping for evidence to persuade the Judges."
"The game that the Nigerian Government, her Security Forces, and Simon Ekpa are playing is an old faction and can not scale through because we have known their antics and strategies. We are aware they want to impose someone they can manipulate on IPOB and use him to scuttle the Biafra agitation. But that plan is dead on arrival. IPOB's foundation is impenetrable with strong but invisible forces behind it that the Nigeria government can not understand."
"Imagine the Nigerian military referring to a criminal, as an IPOB leader? They are amateur in the game they are playing. Unfortunately for them, we are Masters and we have an antidote to their double agent game."
He stressed that a few days ago, Simon Ekpa dished out threats to start violent evacuation of Nigeria Army Biafraland, particularly in Anambra State. Boom, the Nigerian military issued their infamous statement referring and presenting someone to the world as IPOB leader even when they knew that IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu have on several occasions distanced IPOB from the activities of Simon Ekpa which were criminal. Even Simon Ekpa himself does not claim to be an IPOB member, let alone IPOB leader. He understands the consequences of claiming to be an IPOB member or leader.
"All the shenanigans by the Nigeria Army, DSS, Police and the Nigeria government trying to use Simon Ekpa as a double agent is because of our leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU's case that is coming up on the 15th of December 2023. They are looking for ways to blackmail the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi KANU, before the Supreme Court Judges. The world knew that Simon Ekpa was not a member of IPOB and ESN and not representing Mazi Nnamdi KANU and IPOB in any way. The public should watch how the criminal and double agent in Finland will start violence a few days to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's Supreme Court judgment. This criminal and his sponsors want to blackmail Mazi Nnamdi Kanu so that he will not be released."
"Remember that recently, the Nigeria Army called him an IPOB leader. They are all working together to blackmail and demonise IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. It is now obvious that the Nigeria Army was among the agencies that recruited the criminals ravaging the Southeast Region and Igbo land in particular."
Continuing, Emma Powerful retirated that Simon Ekpa is not an IPOB member, let alone being an IPOB leader. Nigerian Supreme Court Justices have the constitutional right to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally and should never succumb to the executive and security arms of the government's blackmail because self-determination is not a crime. Moreover, forceful abduction and extraordinary rendition is an international crime that the Nigeria government must be held liable for.
