2023 MAY DAY: KENNEDY IBEH ACKNOWLEDGES SACRIFICE OF WORKERS



The Returning Member for Obowo State Constituency, Rt Honourable Barrister  Kennedy Chidozie Ibeh has commended Imo workers, especially, Obowo indigenes in the State Civil Service,  in this year's *Workers"Day.* 


In a message signed by him, Rt Honourable Kennedy Ibeh  commended the "sacrifice of workers in building  a government and society that is organized,  and operates in a  system that has  a structured career module that assures growth, which brings about human, political, economic and social development that is free of crime, violence,  corruption,  disobedience to rule of law etc".


"As the most experienced parliamentarian and returning lawmaker for Obowo State Constituency,  I  have maintained  an admirable relationship with the *Labour Union*  and its affiliated interest groups.  I will continue to sponsor *Bills and Motions* that will continue to make life more meaningful and attractive, not just for workers, but also for our citizens".


 "I am also aware that the pragmatic and focused leadership of His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodimma in the State has graciously improved the welfare and working conditions of Imo civil servants, through the implementation of improved salary scheme, promotion,  13 month salary, equipping the civil service  secretariat  and rebuilding and equipping the Imo State House Of Assembly,  for effective, efficient and optimal service delivery".


"Let me at this point appreciate my Governor, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, for his foresight in making all these possible. Ultimately, this has brought about the commendable dedication, confidence and trust of Imo workers to the system".


With a humble heart full of love, therefore,  I  join  other leaders and stakeholders of goodwill in celebrating  and appreciating Obowo  workers,  in particular, Imo workers and workers globally, as they  honour  this year's *Workers'  Day."* Rt Honourable Kennedy Chidozie Ibeh stated.

Valentine Ozigbo Resigns from Labour Party

In a shocking move, against all speculations over the last few days, Valentine Ozigbo, a close ally of Peter Obi, has announced his resignation from the Labour Party (LP).
