Uzodinma blames bombing of Obiozor's home on politicians

  Imo State Government has condemned the early morning raising of the home of the President General of Ohanaeze  Ndigbo, Prof George Obiozor by those it described as political bandits. In a statement he personally signed, the state GOVERNOR, Senator Hope Uzodinma regretted that desperate politicians who believe in violence were yet to sheath their swords inspite of repeated appeal to that effect. Uzodinma described the attack on the country home of Prof Obiozor as cowardly and height of desperation. He vowed that the government was already working in concert with security agencies to identify and punish the perpetrators. He bemoaned the incessant resort to violence in settling political differences by some politicians in the state, and warned that the government would no longer condone such banditry. Obiano’s wife fights Bianca at Soludo’s inauguration.

Wife of the out-gone governor of Anambra State, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano today 17th of March 2022 engaged in a fight with Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, the wife of late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.  Mrs Obiano who many said came set for a fight had approached Mrs Ojukwu at the front row of the event, where she was seated close to the out-gone governor, Chief Willie Obiano. It was gathered by our correspondent who was at Government House Awka said that she allegedly rained curses on her, causing Mrs Ojukwu to slap her, while she (Mrs Obiano) held and drew Ojukwu’s hair, before security operatives separated both women. Uzodimma fulfills pledge to sponsor brilliant student abroad for studies

Imo state  government has fulfilled its pledge to sponsor a  student from the state to any University of her choice after she recorded 9 As in last year's SSSCE examination. The girl, Miss Confidence Chinasa Nwaozuzu from Amuzari in Isiala Mbano LG of the state secured admission to study medicine in Georgia University,Eastern Europe. Apart from her tuition and accommodation the state governor Sen Hope Uzodimma, yesterday, paid for other expenses that would make her studies smooth.  A statement by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Declan Emelumba,  said the governor fulfilled the scholarship pledge to encourage other brilliant Imo students to excel in their studies. South East: Give security utmost priority - Chief Simon Okeke

The former chairman of Police Service Commission(PSC) Chief Simon Okeke on Thursday advised security agencies in the South East to give utmost priority to security in the South East to help curb down on the incessant attacks on people of the South East.  Chief Okeke during an interactive session with journalists at his Akatar Lodge residence in Amichi,  Nnewi South Local Government Area, said that "without security, the South East will not be attractive to investors, as many businesses have relocated from the South East to other areas of Nigeria, where there funds are safe.
