VANTAGE CANADIAN COLLEGE BIRTH IN NIGERIA, LAYS FOUNDATION STONE



The Vantage Canadian college Lagos has held its foundation laying ceremony of the college in Lagos Nigeria. The foundation stone laying was held on the 12th of November 2022. 


The institution will be offering Grade 10-12 (SS1-SS3) which will be a University pathway to Ontario Secondary School Diploma in Nigeria. 


In his welcome address the president of the college, Mr. Jamie Pajoel said that the institution when completed will serve as a bridge for a Nigerian -  Canadian exchange program, where students from the Institute can apply to study and work in Canada after there secondary school on Nigeria. 


Continuing, he said that " The real world is rapidly becoming more competitive, dynamic and demanding, as greater emphasis is now being placed on graduates who can strategize effectively, act decisively, drive performance, collaborate successfully and creatively innovate."


The Vantage Canadian college aims to ensure that children are well trained, well equipped with 21st-century learning and world-class Canadian educational experience. VCC is a college with a clear vision and aims to be a leading, respected Canadian College in Nigeria, known for innovation and excellence in preparing students for entry at undergraduate degrees at top Universities in Canada.



 According to the Vice President, Dr. Edema Oreofe, Dr. Linda Iheme (Director) and the Director, Academics- Joann Ihuoma Anokwuru, she said that their approach to teaching is the Canadian High School Syllabus, and their Certification will be awarded by the Ontario Ministry of Education under the Government of Canada.


She further stressed that the school's its core emphasis will be to imbibe a teaching relationship based on rapport, commitment, and trust, which  challenges student’s assumptions and biases and help unearth lessons from experiences that can expand their perspective on. 


The event had in attendence many dignitaries from all walks of life, many of whom applauded the initiative of the President of VCC and his team.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. The police and other security agencies were said to have conducted land and aerial raids at the identical hideout of the Iceland cult leader and his gang at Idu-Ekpeye in Ahoada East local government area of Rivers on Saturday, February 17. According to  The Nation , the Iceland cult leader was reportedly feared dead after the operation.   Recall that in September 2023, the late DPO was ambushed and captured by the cult group led by 2Baba in the Odiemudie community, Ahoada East LGA.   2Baba and his gang then took the DPO to the forest, where they killed him and dismembered his body. The cultists then filmed him. Another source, Obi, said he saw no less than 15 vehicles and an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) during the operation.  

Prominent Leaders Pay Tribute to Late Sen Ifeanyi Ubah, at Anambra Community Candlelight Procession in Awka
