Invitation to the Funeral Rites of Late Chief Thomas Nwonye aka Ifechifotalu-Anaedo Western Germany

The life and times of Late Chief Thomas Nwonye (Ifechifotalu- Anaedo Western Germany) is a testimony of a life well spent. Late Chief Thomas Nwonye was born in 1927, he however slept in the Lord on the 7th of April 2022.

Beyond the oratorical tributes of his obsequies, the greatest tribute to the memory of our beloved Chief Thomas Nwonye will be for the Anaedo clan and his family to continue upholding the tenets of which he was known for, which is his humility and obligation to family, community and the Anaedo clan, guided by the culture of African morality.

With the outpouring of love and appreciation for a well spent life, at 95, Late Chief Thomas Nwonye's after life indicates a similitude between him and the patron saints of the religious orders. As we count down to his funeral rites which will take place on the 30th of September 2022, we call on well meaning Nigerians, especially from Anambra and Anaedo clan in particular, to in retrospect accord honour to whom honour is due.

Late Chief Thomas Nwonye is the father of Amb. Charles Nwonye the former President General of Uruagu Community in Nnewi, Nnewi North LGA and an aspirant for Anambra State House of Assembly to represent Nnewi North LGA.

May the gentle soul of the humbly departed rest in perfect peace, Amen

Security Forces in the state through a coordinated intelligence report has bursted the camp of the unknown gunmen at Akokwa, Arondizuogu after a long gun duel which resulted to the death of some of the criminals and others arrested. These criminal elements have been known to be behind several attacks in the state such as the killing of police men in Mbaise, Aba Branch in Ehime Mbano, burning down of police stations, attack and attempted kidnapping of former Governor Ikedi Ohakim, abduction of Miss. P.P. Johnson, a female soldier in Okigwe and recently the attack in Akokwa that left many dead. It is obvious that these daredevil gunmen have been perpetuating their evil plans unabated until yesterday when their camp was bursted by security agencies. This is another assurance that our security operatives are leaving no stone unturned in the fight against banditry and other related activities.
