IMO FIRST LADY SHOWERS ENCOMIUM ON IMO WOMEN AT THE GRAND FINALE OF OWERRI ZONE AUGUST MEETING

 


The wife of the Imo State Governor, Her Excellency, Barr. Mrs. Chioma Uzodimma today celebrated Imo women with showers of encomium, at the grand finale of the annual August Meeting celebration.


Mrs. Uzodimma commended Imo women for their commitment to nation building and for fostering good synergy between their respective homes and the larger society.


Barr. Mrs. Uzodimma in her address, attributed the peace and emerging prosperity in communities to the positive impacts of Imo women through their dignified presence and remarkable conducts.


She charged Owerri Zone and the entire Imo women to continue to remain supportive of themselves in providing helping hands to one another and offering their wisdom and support to their husbands, the State, Nation and the world at large.


Prince Dr. Alex Mbata, Imo East APC Senatorial candidate and convener of the event, in his short remark, urged women from the 233 communities in Owerri zone, to remain steadfast and continue to support the 3R administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma. He also donated cash prices and food items to all the women present at the event.


Also present at the event were the Deputy Governor, His Excellency Professor Placid Njoku along with his wife, Her Excellency Dr. Mrs. Bola Njoku, Her Excellency, former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Chief Ada Okwuonu, Dr. McDonald Ebere (PhD), Imo APC Chairman, and host of Government officials and dignitaries.


The highlight of Grand finale event of Owerri Zone August Meeting was the Match pass of women from Various communities and Local Governments in the Zone with Her Excellency, Barr. Mrs. Chioma Uzodimma taking the salute.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. Prominent Leaders Pay Tribute to Late Sen Ifeanyi Ubah, at Anambra Community Candlelight Procession in Awka
