SOLUDO CONDEMNS ABDUCTION OF ANAMBRA STATE ASSEMBLY MEMBER, BEMOANS WAVE OF INSECURITY IN ANAMBRA


Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has condemned in strong terms, the abduction of the member representing Aguata Constituency II at the State House of Assembly, Hon. Okechukwu Okoye.


The Governor also condemned the abduction of Hon. Okoye's Campaign Director, Mr. Cyril Chiegboka. They were both abducted on May 15, 2022. The Governor therefore called for their immediate release.


Governor Soludo  however bemoaned the spate of insecurity across the State in recent times where innocent citizens have been attacked or killed, happening at a period when his government is already reaching out to critical stakeholders for the restoration of peace and security in the State.


The Governor restates that, the current spike in cases of kidnapping and killing of innocent citizens undermines the sanctity of human lives and no one or group has the right to take human life with such gross impunity.


Governor Soludo therefore sympathized with families of those who have directly or indirectly lost their loved ones and re-assured that his government is doing everything possible with the security agencies to restore peace and security to the State in accordance with the law.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. Prominent Leaders Pay Tribute to Late Sen Ifeanyi Ubah, at Anambra Community Candlelight Procession in Awka
