OKIGWE NORTH 2023: GROUP MOUNT PRESSURE ON HON. PRINCESS MIRIAM ONUOHA TO DECLARE

Having carefully watched the Political development in Okigwe North in the recent time. A socio-political grassroot movement, domiciled in the 33 wards of Okigwe North, known as Okigwe North Progressive  Movement (ONPM) has called on the Hon. Member Representing Okigwe/Isiala Mbano/Onuimo (Okigwe North) Federal Constituency to declare and re-contest  for the House of Representatives Seat which she occupies  presently. 


This clarion call for the Lawmaker to declare and re-contest in 2023 was made at Bonafide Hotel  Okigwe during the bi-monthly meeting of the Organization.


The president of the association Snr. Comr.Okechukwu Ibekwe Stanley, while speaking on behalf of the members opine thus,,  "We unanimously call on Hon. Princess Miriam Onuoha to declare and re-contest for the post she is occupying now,  ever since she resumed office as the Lawmaker representing Okigwe North at Federal House of Representatives, there have been tremendous transformation of infrastructures ranging from Roads, schools, hospitals, e.t.c and also not forgetting her human Capacity development cum changing of people's lives in Okigwe North positively. We are begging her to declare so as to continue the good work she has started in the localities."


The group maintained that the will look for ways to reach her and even buy expression of Interest and nomination  form for her as the cannot afford to gamble this massive Representation and National Visibility that has bequeathed Okigwe North Federal Constituency through her.


Hon. Princess Miriam during the filling of this report has not make any official announcement publicly to vie for the coveted post in the forthcoming elections.

Valentine Ozigbo Resigns from Labour Party

In a shocking move, against all speculations over the last few days, Valentine Ozigbo, a close ally of Peter Obi, has announced his resignation from the Labour Party (LP).
