SFI Condoles with Amauzari indigenes:


This past weekend,  Distinguished Senator Frank Ibezim (SFI) stopped by Amauzari where he met with leaders and other well meaning sons and daughters of the community to commensurate with the people of the region over their losses during the last rainy season. 


Recall during the last rainy season following a devastating episode of flooding incident affecting Amauzari market, Senator Frank Ibezim  reached out to the leaders of  Amauzari community  and  immediately deployed his Constituency Technical Officers to liaise with identified flood victims to ascertain their immediate needs.


As a follow up, the Distinguished Senator partnered with NEMA, the state government and other SFI partners to assist the people of Amauzari in unimaginable ways. Apart from the comfort Relief items and cash compensations he doled out to the victims, the Senator met with community think tanks to discuss planning processes for emergency management and disaster mitigation as we enter this year's rainy season. 


 Senator Ibezim made his commitment to continue working with both the state and federal government to resolve conditions giving rise to such natural disasters. He also thanked the people of Amauzari for the warmth reception and fanfare with so much festivities to mark his visit; however, he pleaded with the people of Amauzari to be patient as there are no quick fixes to the threats of natural disasters, but reassured them of his commitment to assist his Constituents in required mitigation while working and partnering with relevant agencies to address conditions that exacerbate such emergencies.

Valentine Ozigbo Resigns from Labour Party

In a shocking move, against all speculations over the last few days, Valentine Ozigbo, a close ally of Peter Obi, has announced his resignation from the Labour Party (LP).
