PDP Congress: Prince Ifeamamauma Nwafor- Orizu emerges new Chairman



The People's Democratic Party (PDP) over the weekend held it's congress's across the state, which was a peaceful transition process in Nnewi as  Prince Ifeamamauma Nwafor Orizu, i the last son of first Senate President of Nigeria, Rt Hon. A.A Nwafor Orizu emerged as chairman of the party amidst jubilation.


The chairman elect, Prince Ifeamamauma Nwafor Orizu in his speech, promised to reach out to everybody, and even those who left the party for one reason or the other and ensure they  come back to the party in no distant time.


He expressed joy that PDP gave him the mantle of leadership without minding his age, and promised a new dawn for PDP party faithfuls in Nnewi North LGA. He said being born into a Political family, he has the magic wand to make people believe in PDP again in Nnewi North LGA. 


Prince Nwafor-Orizi stressed that they are going to reach out to major Institutions in Nnewi to see how to work together for a better society, knowing fully well that the task is challenging.




Prince Ifeamamauma Nwafor Orizu appreciated, Chief Olisa Metu for creating a conducive Political environment, which has further helped to deepen democracy at the grassroots. 



He affirmed that to  whom much is given, more should be expected and therefore promised that his tenure will present political landscape everybody will desire to see again in PDP.

He thanked Nnewi people for their love and the trust bestowed on him to led the largest Political party in Nigeria. 

He urged members of his  party to put the congress election behind and join hands in planning coming 2023  general election which will support his drive to move the party forward. 


Commending the outcome of the congresses, one of the major stakeholders in Nnewi North PDP, Prince Chinedu Orizu said in a telephone interview

that Chief Olisa Metu has entrenched democracy, by making provisions for a level playing ground for all contestants in the just concluded congress.


 He also called on the leadership of PDP to continue with this same transparent process in other  congresses and also elect credible officers at the state and national levels.



While having a chat with newsmen during the congress another stakeholder of PDP in Nnewi, Hon. Chinyelude Udeze, said that there is a new dawn in the way of doing things in PDP.


 This was made possible because of the listening ears of Chief Olisa Metu, the Leader of PDP in Nnewi North."



It was gathered that In the build up to the congress, Chief Olisa Metu through his instrumentality, a congress committee with Prof Okey Onyemelukwe as chairman,harmonized the sharing of offices among the four quarters in Nnewi that smoothened the congress process.


 What Chief Olisa Metu did in Nnewi North has entrench a working grassroot democracy in the area. He expressed gratitude to the former national publicity secretary for a job well done. 


"PDP in Nnewi North, therefore is greatful to Chief Olisa Metu, for listening to the wish of his people." He concluded.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid.
