Nwajiuba calls for increased research towards solving societal problems



- As FUTMA holds 30th Convocation



The Honorable Minister of state Education Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba has called for more impactual and result oriented research to help curb societal problems. He made this assertion at the 30th Convocation of the Federal University of Technology, Minna,Niger State.


The Minister of State Education, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba however charged the academia on the  increased need for impactful research towards solving societal problems. He said it is pertinent to note that the interconnection between tertiary institutions and industry should be improved upon.


The Minister who was representing President Muhammadu Buhari as the Visitor,said Universities of Technology are pivotal to the actualization of our national development agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) of the United Nations in training and production of adequate and highly qualified manpower to solve the problems of unemployment, security and youth restiveness thereby enabling them become self-reliant, entrepreneurs and job creators.


Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba also performed the investiture ceremony of Oba Ogunlade Aladelusi,Odundun 2, the Deji of Akure as the new Chancellor of the University.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. Prominent Leaders Pay Tribute to Late Sen Ifeanyi Ubah, at Anambra Community Candlelight Procession in Awka
