.......SAYS ANYONE WHO TAKES PDP SERIOUSLY OWES OKOROCHA AN APOLOGY.
A youth group known as Global Association of concerned Imo youths (GACIY) has said that Imo PDP; is a den of snakes, scorpion, blackmailers and perverts. In a press release made avaliable to newsmen in Owerri, the group stated that Imo PDP is fast becoming a caricature of itself going by the many publications and falsehoods it has been spreading over the goverment of Imo State lately.
The group however stressed that "Over the weekend, Imo PDP – a den of shameless scoundrels, venomous snakes, scorpions, backstabbers, blackmailers and perverts – released a string of hate materials on Governor Uzodimma's second year in office as part of its failed bid to "create conditions neccessary for regime change".
From _"Uzodimma has plunged Imo into debt slavery"_, to _"Imo has collapsed under Uzodimma"_ and every other nonsense in between, the PDP spat, and still spits at Imo, all in the name of 'opposition'.
The group said that It also sponsored these ruinous materials in different local, national, and international media and social platforms. "Imo PDP will be happy to go bankrupt funding fakenews provided it succeeds in casting a pall over Uzodimma's administration and Imo State."
"Infamous for breaking and entering our treasury, this toxic group however refused to tell its audience why it borrowed recklessly and raised Imo State's debt profile by almost 100% (from N97b in March 2019 to a whopping 164b in December N2019) in just 7½ months in office illegal duty."
The release went on to state that "the PDP refused to acknowledge that Emeka Ihedioha who had come to his wits end relinquished the state to corporate theives until Uzodimma emerged; refused to admit its role in the sponsored crime waves that plagued Imo following its promise to make the state ungovernable for Uzodimma. The PDP does not apologise to Imo people that its chieftain was caught on camera in 2020 threatening to make Imo ungovernable."
The group further stated that, the party also has refused to acknowledge that Uzodimma is reconstructing strategic roads which Emeka couldn't dare to touch with a flagpole, stressing that Imo is overcoming the contrived security challenges, that the government has restored public water supply in urban Imo, that Imo State University now graduates medical doctors having been left unaccredited for years, that the Imo State University Teaching Hospital has been rehabilitated and upgraded to offer neuro, cerebrospinal, among other complex surgeries; that state and personal property of the voiceless illegally appropriated by abusers of power have been recovered and returned to their real owners, or that state owned enterprises are back in business all because of Uzodimma's uncommon leadership.
"The PDP is ashamed to acknowledge that the Owerri-Okigwe and Owerri-Orlu Roads they neglected for years is speedily coming back to life as the foreign construction giant, Craneburg, is doing a fantastic job on the road."
"The PDP bows its head, bites its fingers and gnashes teeth, knowing full well that within two years the Uzodimma administration has completed 34 roads including: Oparanozie Street, Amaigbo Street, Edede Street, Ring-roads in Aladimma Estate, Lake Nwebere Street, Olokoro Street, Umuahia Street, Okeikpe Street, Arugo Street, Egbeada Street, Douglas Road, Ring-roads behind Concorde Hotel, JP Ajaelu Street, Thomas Moore Street, Archdeacon Dennis Road, Aladimma, Gozie Nwachuku Street, Assumpta/Ibari Ogwa/Portharcourt Road, Federal Secretariat Road - now Muhammadu Buhari Road, Dick-Tiger Toad, Dick-Tiger Street, Akachi Road, Relief Market Road, Imo State University Teaching Hospital Road, Orlu; Naze-Nekede-Ihiagwa-Obinze Road (first phase), Yar'Adua Drive, etcetera. About 65 roads are under construction as well."
Under the Uzodimma administration, the group said that Imo State is witnessing for the first time Government paying back debt, as the Government has completely paid back the N1.3b owed AMCON in order to recover the Imo Standard Shoe Company. While Emeka paraded as Governor he took only one visit to this company and was striken numb without a clue of what to do.
"The 3R Government is expanding the oil palm plantation base of the State. In Adapalm, the Governor has resolved the perennial obstacles that held the palm oil company hostage, including the ones orchestrated by Okorocha."
Today, Governor Hope Uzodimma has attracted over N350bn investment in Adaplam alone; while Donlop Tyres is taking over Imo Rubber Plantation and establishing a factory there. This is as the Governor is bringing back the Israeli companies that established Avutu Poultry and Nsu Tiles to breathe life into the establishments and manage them better. These measures will generate over 7,000 jobs.
"To say the least, we deplore PDP's resort to cheap blackmail, sedition, and petty falsehood to titillate its vanishing support base. The fact that the so-called leadership of the party met, discussed and endorsed these materials casts the PDP as desperate, reprobate and tone deaf."
"We warn that further attempt to incite lawlessness passed off as free speech will be resisted by the masses whose sensibilities the PDP flagrantly takes for granted."
"For their part, security agencies must quickly fetch and detain PDP bigwigs with a view to extracting the intelligence they so frequently quote or treat them as crisis mongers and therefore terrorist accomplices or enablers."
"We are happy that more of our people have realised that those who survive by peddling lies against our governor have no good intentions for Imo. Any one who takes the PDP and all such people seriously owes Rochas Okorocha an apology."
