Today, the Imo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) conducted a successful ward Congress across the state. In a widely participated exercise by party faithfuls, the atmosphere was very peaceful as everyone conducted themselves in an orderly manner devoid of the outcome. Independent reports from various wards indicated an early turn out of party members to their various congress centers. The ward Congress of the APC which held across the nation would produce ward Executives of the party and delegates to the LGA Congress. In what turned out to be efforts in futility, the former Governor Rochas Okorocha had approach an FCT High Court through a proxy, seeking for an interim injunction to the Congress in Imo State however, the Hon. Justice denied the motion which gave the Imo State Chapter of the party a clearance to continue with the Congress. The leadership of APC in Nigeria after wild consultations and deliberations set Saturday 31st July 2021 as the date for  ward congresses through out the nation. The Congress in Imo was almost stalled with litigations from expunged members of the party during the last elections, but for the timely intervention of stakeholders of the party in the state.  The embattled former Governor Senator Rochas okorocha, who is yet to revalidate his membership in the party together with his sympathizers having made frantic efforts to frustrate the proceedings of the party towards a fair, just, and  inclusiveness ward congress should be licking his wounds now. We are once again constrained to call on all well meaning individuals in Anambra and beyond to help prevail on Primate Elijah Ayodele, Leader, INRI Evangelical Church to halt this sudden fixation on Distinguished Senator Andy Uba, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the politics of Anambra State. We urge him to copy good examples from men of God who understand that one of the most cherished values of Christianity is it's solute neutrality in human politics. It doesn't signify impassivity. It simply acknowledges that rulership comes from God. Therefore, a situation where a so called man of God wakes up at random to make strange permutations in the name of prophesies like he has been doing, particularly in the last few days on Anambra state politics leaves so much to be questioned. The FCT High Court presided by Hon. Justice Origi has declined to the injunction filed to stop the Congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State. It was gathered that Senator Rochas Okorocha, allegedly acting in proxy via one Okay Anikwa, had approach the FCT High Court seeking an injunction to stop the APC Congress slated to begin this Saturday 31st July, 2021. By this judgment, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State has been given clearance to progress with the Congress as scheduled.

Former governor of Imo State, Chief Sir, Dr. Godson Ikedi Ohakim has formally joined the All Progressives Congress APC. The Isiala Mbano born administrator and politician since his last outing at the 2019 General Elections, has choosen to watch from the sidelines. The Chairman, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Enugu and District Society, Mr. Emmanuel Ekene Nnamani, has commended the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) for the consistent improvement in the quality of its services in Enugu and other states within its coverage area. This commendation was made by the ICAN Chairman on Friday in Enugu during a courtesy visit to the EEDC Corporate Headquarters, in company of members of his Executive Committee. Chief Ikedi Ohakim has debunked the claim that he has dislodged other politicians in Imo.  In a press release made avaliable to Nigerian Notch Newspaper, the special assistant media, to the former governor, Emmanuel Chukwu stated that the claim is false and does not reflect the true position of what happened in Owerri over the weekend. Governor Hope Uzodimma has declared Imo State investment free for investors who wish to establish their business in the State. Rendering account of stewardship during the State  Stakeholders meeting on Saturday, he stated that his administration has fashioned out irresistible incentives to woo investors.  Uzodimma noted that *investment-friendly* polices *have* been put in place to benefit the state  and investors. "The State has great potentials for tourism development and we *cannot* explore that without having the requisite *infrastructure* update supportive of such investment that drives on security, aesthetics, good road networks, hospitable environment and reliable transportation system". Yesterday, at the Imo Stakeholders Meeting with the 3R Government of His Excellency the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, members of the Imo State House of Assembly passed a vote of confidence on the Governor and his Shared Prosperity administration having scored well above expectations in governance.
