The Enugu Electricity Distribution PLC (EEDC) has said that it is in the best interest of the company to have its customers across the South East all metered, but urged that the customers allow the meters to function without tampering with them. Valentine Ozigbo, the immediate past President and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of the former President of the Nigerian Senate, Late Dr Chuba Okadigbo, over the demise of their son, Pharoah Okadigbo.   A total of eleven suspected vandals have been arrested for attacking electricity installations belonging to the Enugu Electricity Distribution PLC (EEDC) across its network. A development which the Head, Corporate Communications of the company, Emeka Ezeh described as frustrating. Ezeh, in a release issued today (Tuesday) in Enugu, lamented on the impact which activities of these vandals have on the company’s operations, a situation that leaves electricity customers inconvenienced for weeks and the distribution company losing revenue while expending millions of Naira, replacing vandalized items.
