Imo North Senatorial District: Supreme Court affirms Frank Ibezim as Senator

The Supreme Court, today Friday, 16th April 2021 declared Sir Frank Ibezim as Senator for Imo North Senatorial District ending months of  legal fireworks of an election which was held on the 5th of December 2020. The supreme court affirmed that Senator Frank Ibeziem's Certificate issue has been quashed and declared a nullity for lack of evidence which ended the matter at stake. The Supreme Court also declared that the Judgment of both the High court and appeal court is a nullity due to lack of burden of proof, while the Supreme Court held that Senator Frank Ibeziem's appeal is granted as meritorious, enforceable and legitimate.

EEDC ATTRIBUTES POWER SUPPLY DISRUPTION IN PARTS OF ITS NETWORK TO RAINSTORM

Some of the fallen poles yesterday at Royal Palm Transformer, Aba - Umuahia 33KV feeder, Aba District and along Enugu Road on Bas 11KV feeder, Nsukka District, as a result of heavy rainstorm. Enugu Electricity Distribution PLC (EEDC) has attributed the loss of supply currently being experienced in parts of its network to the recent heavy rain and windstorm. The company expressed that the situation which led to loss of several High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) poles, aluminum conductors as well as other line accessories, resulted in power outage affecting most of its 33KV and 11KV feeders. The Head, Corporate Communications, EEDC, Emeka Ezeh made this known in Enugu today in a press release made avaliable to Nigerian Notch. VALENTINE OZIGBO COMMENDS FORMATION OF EBUBE AGU SECURITY OUTFIT

Valentine Ozigbo, the frontrunner in the November 2021 Anambra governorship election on the Peoples' Democratic Party platform, PDP, has commended the South East Governors' Forum on the recent formation of a regional security outfit named "EBUBE AGU ". SOUTH EAST GOVERNORS SET UP UNIFIED SECURITY APPARATUS (EBUBEAGU)

The governor's of the South East coming out from a high powered delegation in Owerri today agreed to set up a unified security outfit to protect the South East for the security challenges that has been witnessed in the past few months now.
