Nwajiuba performs ground breaking ceremony of Kaduna Centre for the Study of Christian-Muslim Relations.
The Honorable Minister of State Education, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba yesterday in Kaduna represented H.E Muhammad Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria at the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the Kaduna Centre for the Study of Christian-Muslim Relations.
The Centre is the brain child of The Most Reverend Josiah Idowu-Fearson. It is hoped that the Centre through its activities will help eradicate religious crisis in the nation by teaching the younger generation to see other religions from a world view, to be more tolerant towards one another.
Delivering his speech, Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba commended Rev Idowu-Fearson for dedicating his life to this noble cause, while calling on citizens of Nigeria to imbibe tolerance towards one another. He stated that ignorance is a major factor that keeps pushing us back." It is through proper education about people, their ways and history that we begin to appreciate the many things that we have in common."
The event was graced by the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, H.E Mal. Nasir El Rufai represented by his Deputy, Hajia Hadiza Balarabe, the Emir of Zazzau, HRH Amb. Nuhu Bamali, the Emir of Kazaure, HRH Najib Hussaini Adamu, and other dignitaries.
