Nwajiuba attends 33rd Convocation Ceremony of FUTO, Owerri, calls for sustainable solutions I tackling Nigerian problems.


The Honorable Minister of state for Education,Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba has called for sustainable solutions in tackling the many challenges bedeviling the country as a way out of the many problems we have today in Nigeria. He made this call at the 33rd convocation ceremony of the federal university of technology (FUTO). 

 

He stressed that apart from producing skilled manpower, which is rhe bedrock for providing sustainable solutions to challenges confronting us as a nation. 


The Honorable Minister charged the citadel of learning to take the lead in championing researches that are germane in solving specific societal problems.


He reiterated Federal Government's readiness to improve the standard of education by increasing research funding to the tune of #8.6b under his watch as the Executive Chairman of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund TETFUND.


Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba however urged universities to make good use of these funds as well as collaborating with research institutes in the country for effective research outputs.


He expressed sincere hope that the Prof Nnenaya Oti led administration will consolidate on gains made so far and take the institution to an enviable height.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. The police and other security agencies were said to have conducted land and aerial raids at the identical hideout of the Iceland cult leader and his gang at Idu-Ekpeye in Ahoada East local government area of Rivers on Saturday, February 17.
