Dr. Uzoma Obiyo Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Multi-Net Group, has expressed profound sadness over the news of the death of Alhaji Sani Dangote, younger brother to Aliko Dangote, Africa's richest man.
Alhajji Sani Dangote, until death, was a personal friend and business partner of Dr. Obiyo with forays in manufacturing, oil and gas and agriculture.
"Alhaji Sani Dangote was my business associate. He was straightforward, honest and principled. The news of his death on Sunday in an American hospital after a brief illness is a huge loss to me and my company," Dr Obiyo said in a condolence message.
While praying for the peaceful repose of the soul of his friend, Dr. Obiyo encouraged the Dangotes to find comfort in the Lord, knowing that their departed family member lived a good life.
Before death, Alhaji Sani Dangote sat on the board of Nigerian Textile Mills Plc, Nutra Sweet Limited, Gum Arabic Limited, Dangote Textile Mills Limited, Alsan Insurance Brokers, Dan-Hydro Company Limited, Dansa Food Processing Company Limited and Dangote Farms Limited among others. The late Alhaji Dangote was also the Deputy Chairman of the African Gum Arabic Producers Association and a two-time President of Lagos Polo Club in addition to being a professional polo player.
