PETROLEUM TANKER STRIKE: HON. PETER NWOSU SSA ON PETROLEUM, HON. MBANEFO, COMMISSIONER FOR TRANSPORT MEETS PTD NUPENG NATIONAL LEADERS.

PTD NUPENG agrees to move Tankers from bridgehead Onitsha.

Demands Land for Petroleum Tanker Drivers in Anambra State.

For three days now, Hon. Comr. Peter Nwosu, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State on Nupeng Petroleum and Union Matters has lead the Anambra State Delegation alongside Hon. Afam Mbanefo, The Honourable Commissioner for Transport at the National Headquarters of the Petroleum Tanker Drivers in Abuja with a view to prevail on the National Leadership of Petroleum Tanker Drivers of Nupeng (PTD NUPENG) to end their sanction meted against the South East zone in general and Anambra State in particular.

For days now, the Petroleum Tanker Drivers had down their tools following an imbroglio with the Imo State Government which forced them to embark on strike in Imo State. The National Leadership of PTD NUPENG has however sanctioned all the South East States.

The import of the sanction is that no Petroleum Tanker will deliver Petroleum products in all the states in South East.

On this note, Hon. Peter Nwosu, The Senior Special Assistant to The Governor of Anambra State on Nupeng Petroleum and Union Matters travelled to Abuja where he has been having crucial meetings with the National Leadership of PTD NUPENG in a bid to lift the sanction on Anambra State.

It's heartwarming to know that the PTD NUPENG has agreed to shift it's earlier stance following the meeting of some conditions which include that the Anambra State Government should provide a Trailer park for Petroleum Tanker Drivers.

The National Leadership of PTD NUPENG stated that the recent accident which occurred in Onitsha was avoidable if the Anambra State Government had granted it's demands for the past two years for a Petroleum Tanker park.

On this note, Hon. Peter Nwosu wish to assure Ndi Anambra that he is not resting on his oars but is working round the clock lobbying for the total lifting of the sanction which has skyrocketed the price of Petroleum Products in the State.

He further Appreciates Hon. Afam Mbanefo, Anambra Commissioner for Transport and Comr. Peter modebelu,

the NUPENG PH Zone for their support to ensure that Anambra State gets the needed result from PTD NUPENG National Leadership.
