Ichie Sir Izuchukwu Nwabueze (Ichie Chinemeze) Chairman Ukpo Ceremonies Committee and Principal Secretary to the Igwe Robert Ezeh has received a delegation of Catholic Youths Organization of Nigeria (CYON) Awka Diocese, Ifitedunu Deanery at Dunukofia Palace Ukpo.
The delegation led by the Chaplain of CYON, Ifitedunu Deanery- Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Akpusionu who came in the company of Comr. Chimezie Nwoye (CYON president Ifitedunu Deanery), Comr. Ebuka Nwoye (Secretary) and Comr. Johnpaul Nwoye (Chairman Planning Committee).
The team formally delivered a letter of appointment as DIKEORA CYON of Ifitedunu Deanery to Ichie Sir Izuchukwu Nwabueze.

The organisation stated that the confernment is in recognition of his role as "devoted Christian but equally as respected spokesperson with passion for the promotion of unity and peace in the church and beyond which is the objective of the organisation."
The award was given also to other recipients notable among whom were Chief Hon. Lawrence Ezeudu, Majority leader of Anambra State House of Assembly & Member representing Dunukofia Constituency; Ezeana Ifitedunu, Chief Sir A . I Obiagwu(Odinanwatanwelugo); Prof. Fidelis Okafor (former Vice Chancellor, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University) among others.
According to the Organisers, the award was in recognition of his faithful and selfless service to the church and beyond as well as his roles in human capital development, for promotion of peace and unity and devotion to God as a Christian Soldier.
The Occasion which was chaired by Barr. Chijioke Ifediora (Ijele Dunukofia) attracted lots of dignatries from all walks of life particularly the Catholic faithfuls of Ifitedunu Deanery.
In appreciation for the honour, Ichie Izuchukwu Nwabueze thanked the leadership of CYON Ifitedunu Deanery for finding him worthy of such historic honour as an Anglican and equally promised to always support their activities and the Church in the spirit of ecumenism. He pledged to sponsor a seminar for the CYON with emphasis on the effects of cyber crime (Yahoo) and dangers inherent in drugs abuse (mkpulu mili etc). Ichie Sir Izuchukwu Nwabueze stated: "I dedicate this award to my teachers through whose efforts I grew up to be who I am today."
