RE: IMO: UZODIMMA BLAMES HIS PREDECESSORS FOR HIS FAILURE TO MANAGE PETROL MARKETERS

On the 28th day of June 2019, Chidi Nwopara of Vanguard Newspaper reported the outburst of the ousted PDP-led administration of Hon. Emeka Ihedioha on the inheritance of over N20b judgment debt from the Rochas Okorocha administration. Responding to that report, the then Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Ndukwe Nnawuchi (SAN) expressed the pressure and embarrassment the administration was facing as a result of the judgment creditors drive to enforce judgements, orders and garnishee proceedings. These, he cried out, would hamper the smooth running of the administration.

On 8th day of July 2019, in an interview with Daily Independent, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha cried out that every aspect of governance has been affected and made difficult by the over 150 garnishee orders amounting to N20b against the state government, as inherited from the Rochas Okorocha administration. In that interview, Special Adviser to the ousted Governor Emeka Ihedioha, stated the fact that most government accounts were under lien.

It has become necessary that we cite the above lamentations from the ousted PDP-led administration of Hon. Emeka Ihedioha in response to the PDP spokesman on the referenced topic. This, amongst other things, is to aide Mr Ogu Bundu Nwadike grasp the facts that were not made available to him by the party before sending him on a mission that has caused him accidental discharge.

Now, a major question to Ogu Bundu and others who would want to ride on the same vessel as him, is, was the ousted PDP-led administration able to clear the judgement debts? Were they able to run their administration without pressure of obeying the orders and explaining to the people reasons for slow running of governance? Was the administration properly briefed and handed over by the preceding administration of Rochas Okorocha? Did the ousted PDP-led administration hand over to the Shared Prosperity administration of His Excellency the Senator Hope Uzodimma?

These questions deserve honest and prompt answers. The PDP-led administration of Hon. Emeka Ihedioha cried out profusely over these and it led to the pursuit of recovery without due process. The PDP-led administration deployed this cry, as a decoy for pilfering of Local Government accounts to the tune of over N19b. The PDP-led administration cried profusely over these debts and ended up with the fraudulent award of road contracts.

The 3R administration wouldn't ordinarily want to bandy words with Mr. Ogu Bundu but have opted to inform Imo people of these developments that are not known to all.

The publication he quoted was never to serve as excuse rather to clarify the people as to the cause of the said strike.

Every administration has polices and procedures of operations. The Shared Prosperity administration has approached these issues the best way it deemed fit for the interest of the people, which is by observing the rule of law, and in the fullness of time, it shall be resolved.
