Nwajiuba Presides over Ministerial Annual Merit Awards of the Federal Ministry of Education

The Honorable Minister of State Education, Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba has presided over this year's Ministerial Annual Merit Awards at the Federal Ministry of Education. An annual awards dedicated for excellence.

In his keynote address, the Minister commended the dedication the staff and management of the Ministry who he said have put in their best in the discharge of their duties at the ministry.

He however enjoined them not fail or falter in the discharge of their duties, as even the tiniest effort given for a good cause goes a long way in changing the narrative which helps other efforts geared towards improving the standard of education in the country.

He also seized the platform to call for provision of better welfare for teachers who in his words over years have not received the recognition they truly deserve.

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid.
