In continuation of the support for the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)& Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)programmes, the Honorable Minister of State Education,Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba was in Ilorin, capital of Kwara State to inspect work done by our young women, on the TVET and STEM programmes of the federal ministry of education. The centre visited was the Queen Elizabeth Girls Secondary School, Ilorin.
The Honorable Minister used the opportunity to drum for more support for women to develop economic and life changing skills that will enable them become active participants and contributors to the Nigerian economy.
He stressed that, gone are the days when women are relegated to just domestic duties, and stated that with the right skills, and women in the right places, the future for Nigeria absolutely looks bright.
He also commended the of the Principal, Mrs Sirika Lawal as well as the students, staff and management of the school for a job well done and asked that they continue in that direction.
